TWF Super Cup: The Legendary Seeds! By: TWF Dave | Posted: 06/04/12 What you're about to read are my predictions on the chances of the Legendary Seeds in the upcoming TWF Super Cup. It's the sister blog to the one I posted earlier today analysing the chances of the Allstar Seeds. You can find that blog Right Here.
![]() The Seeds for the Legendary Division were decided by their placement in the Best of All Time poll we conducted on TWF last year. 8. Eddie Guerrero Eddie Guerrero is one of my personal favourite wrestlers of all time, so obviously I'm happy to see him seeded for the TWF Super Cup. That said, I get the feeling that a lot of people believe that Guerrero is being over-rated post humously due to his untimely passing at a time when he was still a main eventer in WWE. I disagree with that sentiment completely and genuinely believe that Latino Heat had one of the best all around packages of anybody ever to set foot in the squared circle. He definately deserves a seeded spot in the inaugaural Super Cup. Prediction: While a lot will depend on the draw I think Guerrero stands a good chance of seeing a quarter final berth. 7. Randy Savage Another guy with the complete package and this time one that everybody recognises as a genuine legend of the business. Savage also has the benefit of rising to fame during the Golden years of the Hulkamania era and retiring from the business before people had grown tired of seeing him - it goes without saying that his relationship with Miss Elizabeth still holds him in the hearts of many wrestling fans today. Prediction: Potential Semi-Finalist. 6. Curt Hennig Athletically gifted, one of the true all time great in-ring performers and a wrestler that's looked upon very highly by the majority of the current TWF members, Hennig is widely recognised as one of the best wrestlers of all time no matter who you speak to. That said, I believe there are stronger competitors in this competition, even among those that are entering un-seeded. Prediction: Probable Quarter-Finalist, potential Semi-Finalist, his chances of winning the entire thing are extremely slim though. 5. The Rock While he's undoubtedly one of the greatest mic-men of all time and, alongside Austin, is recognised as a leader of the Attitude Era, The Rock is NOT a great wrestler. He's extremely athletic but he doesn't have the natural appeal or smoothness of some of the other competitors in this competition and I have to believe that his recent return has tainted some peoples memories of him. Prediction: Round three or the Quarter-Finals at most, The Rock will not win the Super Cup. 4. Ric Flair Just like I said when Flair was announced as only the fourth greatest wrester of all time last year, that list is WRONG! The Nature Boy was the best in the business at a time when to be the best in the business, you had to be truly great - and whether on the stick, in the ring or out on the town partying, Ric Flair was THE man. The problem he faces in the Super Cup is his continued insistance on staying in the business and tainting his legacy instead of retiring. Prediction: Potential winner. 3. Bret Hart The Hitman sits along side Curt Hennig as one of the best in ring performers of all time - he brought a smoothness to his matches that noone else has ever come close to matching. Later in his career as part of the Pro-Canadian Hart Foundation he also added a personality and an ability to speak to his repoirtoire. A third place seeding may be the lowest spot he gets in this tournament. Prediction: Potential Winner. 2. Steve Austin As the guy that single handedly saved the WWF from going out of business in their feud with WCW, the guy that WAS the Attitude Era AND the biggest money making draw in wrestling history, I really don't have to say much about Stone Cold do I? Prediction: Potential Winner. ![]() 1. Shawn Michaels Him being voted as the The Greatest of all Time by the members of The Wrestling Forum was a suprise to some, but fully expected by others. As one of the most entertaining (and controversial) wrestlers of all time HBK is just as deserving to be the #1 Legendary Seed for the inaugaural Super Cup. Expect big things from him. Prediction: Potential Winner. ![]() - TWF Dave
